What you can do with TripWallet

TripWallet keeps your trip details and travel money together.

  1. Organize flights, stays, activities, and transport on a timeline and map.
  2. Keep travel documents and forward booking emails directly to your trip.
  3. Log expenses, track budgets, cash, and cards, and export a report.
  4. Share a trip and expenses with participants and settle balances.

Result

You will know which travel tasks TripWallet can manage and where to begin.

Good to know

Some capabilities or limits depend on your Traveler or Pro plan and device platform.

Quick start

From a new account to a trip ready to use.

Create an account or sign in

Sign in to save and sync trip data.

  1. Open TripWallet and choose sign in or sign up.
  2. Continue with an option shown on the screen and complete account verification if requested.
  3. Allow a permission only after the app explains why it is needed; you can change it later in device Settings.

Result

You will reach first-trip setup or the Home screen.

Good to know

TripWallet requests camera, photos, location, calendar, or notification access only within a feature that uses it.

Create your first trip

Set destinations, dates, currencies, and a budget to tailor the app to your journey.

Before you start

  • A signed-in account.
  • Approximate destination and travel dates.
  1. Enter a trip name and choose one or more destinations.
  2. Choose departure and return dates. You can update them later.
  3. Choose your home currency and currencies you expect to use.
  4. Set a budget and date tracking if you want a dashboard snapshot.
  5. Save and continue to Home.

Result

The trip appears on Home and is ready for bookings and expenses.

Understand when permissions are needed

Each permission is requested in the context of a specific action.

  1. Camera and Photos are used for receipts, document uploads, and images.
  2. Location is used for nearby places and optional place details on an expense.
  3. Calendar is used to create a calendar feed for the trip.
  4. Notifications are used for enabled flight updates, upcoming events, and expense reminders.

Result

You will know why access is requested and what happens if you decline.

Good to know

If you declined access, open iOS Settings, choose TripWallet, and update the permission.

Plan and organize

Trip settings, bookings, route, destination tools, and documents.

Edit a trip and manage multiple trips

Update the name, destinations, dates, currency, budget, and tracking options.

  1. Open the Trips tab.
  2. Tap the field you want to change: name, destination, date, budget, or currency.
  3. Turn date tracking, budget tracking, and the calendar feed on or off as needed.
  4. To switch trips, open the trip picker and choose another trip.

Result

The active trip and its calculations reflect the settings you saved.

Important

Reset trip data is destructive. Read the confirmation message before continuing.

Trips keeps trip settings and shortcuts to documents, bookings, and sharing.

Add an activity to the itinerary

Choose a template for an activity, transport, or stay and complete its relevant details.

Before you start

  • An active trip.
  1. On Home, tap New activity — choose a template. You can also start from Entry.
  2. Choose a group and template, such as culture, nature, water, attractions, shows, transport, or a stay.
  3. Search for a place or enter a name, destination, date, and times using the fields shown for that template.
  4. Add a cost, currency, note, or other details only when they are relevant to the activity.
  5. Review and save. To open or edit it later, tap the activity in the route or Log.

Result

The activity appears on Home, the timeline, and the trip map according to its saved date and location.

Good to know

Flights, ferries, rental cars, and stays have dedicated fields and flows; choose the specific template instead of a general activity.

A saved activity joins the trip timeline and map.

Add a flight and follow updates

Find a flight by number and date or by route, save it, and review its tracking state.

Before you start

  • An active trip.
  • A date and flight number or known airports.
  1. On Home, tap New activity and choose Flight. You can also import a flight confirmation from email.
  2. Choose a date and search by flight number, airline, or route between airports.
  3. Select the correct result and verify origin, destination, local times, terminal, gate, and connecting segments.
  4. Save a valid flight number, such as LY315 or EK404. A seat is optional.
  5. Open Route and tap the flight to see tracking status and edit the flight number or seat when available.
  6. For alerts, enable Push and Flight updates under Notification types.

Result

The flight appears in the route; supported flights show available status, times, and updates.

Good to know

Tracking depends on the airline, airports, and data-provider availability. Confirm critical changes with the airline.

Open a flight segment in the route to review available tracking details.

Import bookings from email

Forward confirmations to create route items and save attached documents.

Before you start

  • A signed-in account and active trip.

  3. Filter by all items, flights, stays, route, or activities.
  4. Tap a stop for details, local times, and additional information.

  1. Open Nearby places from Home to search around your location and destination.

  3. In More, choose Ride services for commonly used local apps by country.
  4. Choose Ferry booking for common providers and routes by destination.
  5. Confirm price, availability, and terms with the provider before booking.

Result

You will reach information and providers relevant to the active destination.

Keep files, images, notes, and links, then filter them by type.

  2. Tap Add and choose camera, photo library, file, note, or link.
  3. Choose a category and clear label, then save.

  5. For a personal document, set up a PIN or biometrics and follow the on-screen explanation.

Result

The item appears in the trip folder or protected personal documents.

Important

A personal-document PIN cannot be recovered. Resetting it permanently removes locally stored personal documents.

The empty state keeps Add, search, and filters available.

Expenses, budget, and wallet

Log activity, review spending, export reports, and track payment methods.

Add an expense

Enter the amount, currency, category, and payment method and save it to the Log.

Before you start

  • An active trip.

Location and a receipt are optional details; an expense can be saved without them.

Edit or delete an activity

The Log groups saved expenses and other activities by date.

  1. Open the Log tab.
  2. Expand a date and tap the activity you need.
  3. Choose Edit, update the details, and save.
  4. To remove it, choose Delete and confirm only after checking the activity.

Result

The change is reflected in the Log, budget, and relevant summaries.

Important

Deletion changes balances and reports. On a shared trip, it can also affect participant balances.

Tap a Log row to open its details.

Review spending and export a report

Move between Summary, By country, Charts & insights, and Excel export.

  1. Open the expense summary tab.
  2. Choose an available period: trip, week, month, or custom range.
  3. Use By country or Charts & insights to understand trends and categories.
  4. Choose Export to Excel and complete the iOS save or share action.

Result

You will have a spending overview or a report file to save and share.

The summary screen collects analysis and export options.

Use the currency converter

Convert an amount at the market rate or compare a money changer quote with the current rate.

  1. Open More and choose Currency converter under Quick access. It is also available from budget tools on Home.
  2. Enter an amount and choose the source and target currencies.
  3. Tap Swap to reverse the source and target currencies.
  4. Choose Market rate to calculate with the rate available in the app.
  5. For cash exchange, choose Changer rate and enter the offered rate to compare it with the market.
  6. Review the result, percentage difference, and home-currency value before making the real exchange.

Result

You will see the target-currency result and its equivalent value in your home currency.

Good to know

The converter calculates only; it does not create an expense or change cash or card balances.

Currency converter is available under Quick access in More.

Manage cash, cards, and conversions

Use the travel wallet to reconcile balances across currencies and payment methods.

  1. Open Entry or the Travel wallet area in More.
  2. Choose Cash management for a withdrawal, exchange, or cash-pocket activity.
  3. Choose Add card to configure a payment method; do not enter a full card number unless the screen explicitly requests it.
  4. Use Currency converter for quick calculations between trip currencies.
  5. Choose Adjust balances after counting cash or checking a real balance.
  6. LAYA reload is available only for a supported prepaid card and compatible home currency.

Result

Your balances and payment methods match the real-world state.

Good to know

A budget is a planning target; cash or card balance is the payment method's balance. They are different values.

Travel together

Shared trips, guests, split expenses, and settlements.

Create a shared trip and invite people

Create a shared space, invite app users, or add a local participant.

  1. Open More and choose Shared trips & expenses.
  2. Tap Create shared trip and set its name and currency.
  3. Invite an existing friend, share a link or code, or add a local participant without an account.
  4. Review participants and permissions before adding expenses.

Result

Participants can join and the trip appears under shared trips.

Important

An invitation link grants access to join. Share it only with intended people and cancel unused invitations.

Split an expense and settle balances

Choose who paid, who participated, and how the amount is divided.

Before you start

  • A shared trip with at least two participants.
  1. Open the shared trip and choose Add shared expense.
  2. Enter the amount, currency, category, and payer.
  3. Choose participants and an available split method, then review each share.
  4. Save and open balances to see who owes whom.
  5. After a real transfer, open Settle debts and record the settled amount.

Result

Participant balances update, and you can record a settlement after money changes hands.

Good to know

A TripWallet settlement records a payment made outside the app; it does not transfer money.

Share a route with guests

Guests & access is in Trips, next to the route-sharing action.

  1. Open Trips and choose Guests & access or Share trip route.
  2. Choose an invitation method shown on screen.
  3. Review what the guest can view or edit before sending.
  4. Remove access that is no longer needed from the participant screen.

Result

The guest receives the access level you approved without necessarily joining expense management.

Adjust language, appearance, notifications, budget, cards, storage, and account options.

  1. Open the menu on Home and choose Settings.
  2. Choose Appearance for the available theme or App language to switch between Hebrew and English.
  3. Open Notifications and Location to review iOS access and notification types.

  5. Under Account, edit your profile, review the plan, sign out, or begin account deletion.

The preference is saved and applied to relevant screens or notifications.

Enable and manage notifications

Choose Push access and update categories for trips, flights, friends, and shared expenses.

  1. Open the menu on Home and choose Settings.
  2. Under Permissions, enable Notifications (push). If previously denied, open TripWallet in iOS Settings and allow notifications.
  3. Open Notification types and choose trip invitations, members, chat, shared expenses and payments, friends, flight updates, or booking-email updates.
  4. Enable the daily expense reminder if you want a local 8:30 PM reminder on days inside the trip date range.
  5. Tap the notification bell on Home to open updates received in the app.

Result

TripWallet sends only enabled update categories, subject to iOS notification permission.

Good to know

Focus modes, Scheduled Summary, and iOS notification settings can delay or hide an alert even when its TripWallet category is enabled.

Protect your privacy and security

Enable only necessary permissions and understand local and shared data.

  1. Review permissions in iOS Settings and TripWallet, and keep only the access you use.
  2. Protect personal documents with a PIN or biometrics. These documents are stored locally on the device.
  3. Review participants, guests, and invitation links, then remove access you no longer need.
  4. Use Sign out to leave the account on this device. For full removal, open Delete account and read each confirmation step.

Result

You will know where to manage access, personal documents, and your account.

Important

Account deletion and a personal-document PIN reset can be irreversible. Do not continue before reading the confirmation message.

Troubleshoot common issues

Check connectivity, permissions, the active trip, and app updates before contacting support.

  1. If information does not load, check your connection and refresh. Some activities queue and sync when connectivity returns.
  2. If camera, location, photos, calendar, or notifications do not work, review TripWallet access in iOS Settings.
  3. If an expense or booking is missing, confirm the active trip and current filters.
  4. If a forwarded email did not arrive, confirm you forwarded the original message to the address shown in the app and verified the sender address when required.
  5. Open What's new or Check for updates in Settings and install an available version.
  6. If the problem continues, email support@tripwallet.cc with the app version, device type, and steps — never include a password or payment details.

Result

You will resolve a common issue or collect the information support needs.
